We are a good fit if… You are an adult searching for a space of deep insight and lasting change from childhood abuse or neglect. Choosing to begin therapy is an act of profound courage, and I am so glad you are here. Whether we eventually work together or not, I want to congratulate you on taking this pivotal step toward your healing.
As a therapist and doctoral candidate specializing in trauma-informed care, my approach is rooted in the belief that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of all progress. I strive to create a sanctuary of safety and non-judgment where you can feel comfortable exploring the depths of your experience. I am an inquisitive and intuitive listener; I listen for what is said, and perhaps more importantly, what isn’t, helping you gain the insight necessary to navigate your inner world.
My ideal client is…An adult looking for help with attachment, inner child, and relationship healing. Many of the challenges we navigate as adults, such as low self-esteem, boundary struggles, or codependent patterns, often find their roots in our earliest life experiences. I specialize in working with adults who experienced childhood abuse or neglect, helping you understand how those early years shaped how you attach, trust, and love today.
Through Inner Child work and a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens, we will identify the self-defeating patterns and beliefs that act as barriers to your happiness. From a place of greater understanding, you can choose to make changes—if and when you are ready.
I am particularly passionate about helping clients with:
- Self-Love & Self-Esteem: Cultivating a kinder relationship with yourself.
- Boundaries & Assertiveness: Learning to honor your needs and voice.
- Attachment Healing: Moving from insecurity to connection.
- Couples Attunement: I offer private-pay sessions for couples looking to deepen their intimacy and emotional attunement through an attachment-focused lens.
My Therapeutic Approach:
While I am deeply grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Attachment Theory, I believe therapy is a collaborative journey that must be tailored to you. I am currently expanding my practice to incorporate Somatic Awareness and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help bridge the connection between the mind and the body.
Other modalities I draw from include:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) & ACT
- Strengths-Based & Motivational Interviewing
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
- Existential and Humanistic Therapy
Beyond the Office…
I am a lifelong learner and an introvert at heart. When I am not working with clients or finishing my doctoral research, you can find me reading, writing, or teaching in some capacity. I find my own “best medicine” in the quiet, peaceful downtime spent in nature or time with my family and significant other.
How I create a safe space… This is your journey. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you discover the life you want and the strength you already possess to achieve it.
