We are a good fit if… You’re a teen or adult who’s ready to slow down and give yourself the space to reflect, reset, and grow. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating—we’ll build a real relationship first. I work in a collaborative, down-to-earth way, where your voice matters just as much as any clinical perspective I bring.
My ideal client is… You! If you’re open to looking at your life with curiosity, your patterns, your relationships, what’s working and what’s not, we can figure things out together! I often work with individuals who are ready to be honest with themselves, even when it’s uncomfortable, and who want to grow in meaningful, sustainable ways.
I often support clients with:
- Depression and mood-related challenges
- Grief and loss
- Chronic illness and long-term health challenges
- Military and Military family members
- Parenting—the hard parts and the meaningful parts
- Life transitions (career changes, moving, retirement, job loss)
- Self-esteem and identity exploration
A few things I love…
- My family – immediate, extended, and chosen
- Living in Durham and continuing to learn its deep, complex Black history
- Playing music with a kindergarten class
How I create a safe space… I take a strengths-based, affirming approach and meet you as a whole person, not a diagnosis. I have a lot of respect for the courage it takes to show up and do this work. My background as a community organizer shapes how I connect with people: authentically, relationally, and with a bit of humor when it helps. Therapy can be meaningful and still feel human.
